May Is Arthritis Awareness Month

I’ve been living with osteoarthritis for over 35 years now—and let me tell you, it has definitely made itself at home.

It started in my knees around age 25… then by 35, my hands said, “Hey, don’t forget about us.”
Later on, my spine joined the party… and just last year, my feet decided they didn’t want to be left out either.

So yes—when I say head to toe, I’m not kidding. This is a full-body membership I never signed up for. 😄

Growing up, I was always taught to give back to my community. When I was younger, I volunteered at food pantries and with different organizations, and that stayed with me.

Since 2014, I’ve been an advocate for those living with osteoarthritis and osteonecrosis—because I happen to be blessed with both. (I guess I don’t do anything halfway!)

Today, I’m proud to be:
💙 A facilitator for the National Osteoarthritis Connect Group💚
💙 A facilitator for the Central Florida Connect Group💚
💙 East Region Lead Volunteer with the Arthritis Foundation💚

I am also the founder for the Facebook support group avascular-necrosis osteonecrosis support international which is a worldwide support group for anyone living with any form of osteonecrosis. I formed this in late 2014.

One of the greatest things I’ve found on this journey is community.

There is something incredibly powerful about finding your people—the ones who truly get it. The ones who understand without you having to explain every ache, every limitation, or every “I’ll see how I feel that day.”

Because when you find people who live it too…
you don’t feel so alone anymore.

And that right there?
That makes all the difference. 💙💚

Heavenly Father,
I lift up all those living with osteoarthritis and every form of arthritis.
Please ease their pain today, bring comfort to their bodies, and peace to their minds.
Remind them they are not alone—you are with them, and so are we.
Grant them strength, patience, and moments of relief throughout their day.

💙in Jesus name we pray. Amen.💚
