Finding Strength Through Pain

Hello, lovely readers! Today, I want to share my recent diagnosis of osteoarthritis in yet more new areas—specifically in my feet and also 2 toes. Alongside the arthritis I already have in my knees, hands, neck , back, and spine, it feels like I’m juggling a lot of chronic pain. Some days are exhausting. If it’s not my neck and spine causing trouble, it’s my lower back, knees, or now, my feet and two toes. Honestly, sometimes it’s just simpler to say I’m dealing with chronic pain.

Since relocating to sunny Central Florida, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the pain I experienced in Ohio. However, exploring new diagnoses can be frustrating, especially when my feet hurt. It throws my entire body off balance; discomfort in my feet often leads to aches in my knees or back as I compensate for the pain. It becomes a vicious cycle, and some days, it feels relentless.

But here’s where I stand firm: I refuse to let pain dictate my life. I still walk four miles every day. It’s my way of clinging to positivity, even in the face of negative news from doctors. Life is certainly filled with challenges some stemming from our choices but for those of us who believe, we know that hardship is part of the journey.

Jesus made it clear that pain and suffering would be aspects of life. In John 16:33, He reassures us, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” This verse continues to inspire me as I navigate these challenges.

So if you are in physical pain or emotional or in spiritual drought read your Bible.

It’s got everything you need written inside

Wishing everyone a pain free day.

  1. Encouraging to read that your move to Florida has shown a decline in pain, that’s great news and hopefully the trend continues. Meanwhile, your faith is in the right place.
