Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about something that affects millions of people – ARTHRITIS . Did you know that 8 million working-age adults report that their ability to work is limited because of their arthritis? That’s a staggering number.
There are over 60 million Americans living with some form of arthritis. In Ohio there are 2.2 million adults and over 7000 children.
But there’s hope, and that hope comes from organizations like the Arthritis Foundation. This amazing foundation provides research grants, helps with JA camps for small children as well as young adults, and offers support for anyone living with arthritis. With CONNECT Groups there are many in just about every state. I am a facilitator for Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Ohio and Orlando East Florida. but I also have people from several others states also join
Right now, the Northeast Ohio arthritis foundation needs your support. They cover all of Northeast Ohio from Ashtabula to Lorrain county down to Mahoning to Columbiana county over to Geauga , Summit and Medina counties . And while they see a lot of support from Cleveland, other counties like Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Portage are not participating as much.So I want everyone to know we are part of NE ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and we need everyone’s support.
Our fund raiser is held this year at the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo on September 24,2023.
So this isn’t just about one area – it’s about supporting everyone with arthritis in ALL of Northeast Ohio. So let’s get moving and show our support. Come out and walk with us, or if you can’t walk due to mobility issue , sit and talk with us.
Donation are welcome and any amount of financial support is appreciated, but we also need your presence and engagement. Let’s make a difference together.
And if you know a child in your area that lives with juvenile arthritis, reach out and let them or to me so we can let them know about this amazing opportunity to participate. We need everyone’s support, because as a community we count on you. We all know someone living with arthritis let’s do it for them
