If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?

I saw this question:

“If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?”

At first, I thought I should come up with something deep and meaningful.

Something like…

Everything is going to be okay. Or….

You will get through this

Or…

Stop worrying so much and enjoy the journey.

Or maybe…

The best is yet to come.

All very beautiful answers.

But then I thought about it a little longer.

And I have changed my answer.

If my future self gets exactly ONE sentence to send me, I don’t need inspiration.

I don’t need wisdom.

I don’t need a motivational speech.

I need Specific INFORMATION.

My sentence would be:

“The winning lottery numbers for January 1, 1992, are…” – – – – – – –

THAT’S IT. And Include the numbers

Future Deb, please do not waste valuable sentence space telling me to believe in myself.

I believe in myself.

I would believe in myself a whole lot more from the deck of my paid-off beach house. 😂 in Malibu California or Naples Florida or in Croatia at Dubrovnik Riviera stunning.

And please don’t send me something vague like:

“Invest in that little internet company.”

WHAT COMPANY?!

You have ONE sentence. BE SPECIFIC.

Give me the lottery numbers, and I promise I’ll figure out the rest.

I’ll still learn all my life lessons.

I’ll still become stronger.

I will still be generous, and volunteer.

I’ll still appreciate the little things.

I’ll just be doing it debt-free with excellent accommodations.

So yes, if my future self could send me one sentence, I’ve made my decision.

Forget the inspirational quote.

SEND THE NUMBERS.

Now I want to know…
