Stop Poking the Sleeping Bears

I’m extremely disappointed with our current president, and I say that as someone who voted for him.

Why does our president continuously feel the need to poke sleeping bears? He told us he was going to Make America Great Again, but right now it feels like he’s making America more expensive for the people who actually live and work here.

We’re dealing with higher prices at the grocery store, concerns about gas prices, expensive cars, high housing costs, and interest rates that make it harder for working families to get ahead. Now we have tariffs and more uncertainty with Canada and other countries, and once again I’m worried that American consumers are going to end up paying the price.

I understand that Iran, Iraq, and other countries present serious national security concerns. I certainly don’t want dangerous regimes obtaining nuclear weapons. But America cannot continue acting like we are the world’s police. We need to protect America first and stop getting dragged into conflicts that could turn into another costly war.

I voted for this president because I believed in putting America first, strengthening our economy, securing our country, and keeping us out of unnecessary wars. I did not vote for constant escalation overseas while Americans at home are struggling with the cost of living.

Supporting a president does not mean blindly supporting every decision he makes. I voted for him, and I have every right to say when I believe he is taking this country in the wrong direction.

I’m disappointed with what I’m seeing, I’m concerned about what it is doing to the Republican Party, and I’ll be ready for new leadership when his term is over
