September is Pain Awareness Month
A special time to recognize the millions of people around the world living with chronic pain every day. Pain may often be invisible, but its effects are very real—touching our bodies, minds, relationships, our mobility and our ability to fully enjoy life.
As someone who deals with chronic pain myself, for over 30 years I know how vital it is to be seen, heard, understood and believed.
People hear you have arthritis and thinking it’s just a little joint pain.
But in 30 years there has never been a day I was “pain-free”. Seems like every few years is a new diagnosis.

This month, let’s come together to raise awareness, break down the stigma, and advocate for better care, more research, and greater support for all those affected.
