Ah, Mondays. The day that many of us love to hate.
As the Sunday sunset fades and the Monday sunrise beckons, there’s a special kind of joy in knowing that a brand new week is ahead of us.
I sit here at 4:30 am with my tea and Bible giving thanks.
For some, it’s the fresh start that sparks motivation; for others, it’s simply the countdown to Friday. You know the feeling: you arrive at your desk with a hot cup of coffee in hand, ready to tackle the week. It’s as if you’re an explorer setting sail on a grand adventure—complete with spreadsheets and conference calls instead of treasure maps and compass readings!
There’s something deeply satisfying about embracing the challenges of a new week. Mondays are essentially like opening a blank canvas, filled with endless possibilities. Sure, you might have a mountain of emails waiting for you, but let’s not forget the joy of being able to create a “To-Do” list that will make even the most organized among us proud. And let’s face it, there’s a certain thrill in adding tasks that are borderline impossible just to see how far you can stretch your own limits.
But what really brings joy on a Monday? The fact that we’re one step closer to Friday, of course! With every task completed, we inch towards that magical day where work transforms into freedom. The thought of Friday makes Mondays a lot more bearable, doesn’t it? It’s like having a pot of gold at the end of a very, very long (and sometimes frustrating) rainbow. So, as the clock ticks towards the end of the week, we find ourselves counting down the hours, envisioning the sweet taste of freedom that comes with the weekend.
In the grand scheme of life, Mondays serve as a reminder that while the workweek may feel daunting some days each new beginning carries the promise of progress. So, here’s to finding joy in our Mondays, embracing the chaos, and keeping our eyes firmly fixed on God and thanking him for the jobs we have and also looking forward to Friday when we can spend weekends with family and or friends
Friday —a day that celebrates our endurance success and survival through another week of glorious work! Cheers to the hustle and the humor that comes with it!
Happy Monday Y’all
