1. Stay Hydrated: With summer temperatures rising, it’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially if you’re spending time outdoors. Cool tumblers that don’t leak.
2. Practice Firework Safety: If you plan to celebrate with fireworks, make sure to follow local laws and safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
3. Designate a Driver: If you’ll be drinking alcohol, make sure to designate a sober driver or plan alternative transportation to ensure everyone gets home safely. Use Uber, call a friend or family member etc…
4. Protect Your Skin: Remember to apply sunscreen if you’ll be out in the sun to prevent sunburn and skin damage. Use at least a 30 spf but 50 is what most dermatologists recommend and it should be a broad-spectrum that protects uva and uvb. Did you know there is a difference in a sun block vs a sunscreen? Sunscreen consists of chemicals that absorb UV rays before they reach your skin. Sunblock acts like a barrier, preventing UV rays from reaching you.
5. Keep Pets Safe: Loud noises from fireworks can frighten pets. Keep them indoors in a safe, quiet place to help reduce their stress. Use a security vest if they have anxiety
