Today, we celebrate America’s birthday and the founding principles that make our country so special. As we gather with family and friends,or if we are at home alone or at work, let’s take a moment to reflect on the bold declaration made on this day in 1776.
The Declaration of Independence serves as a reminder that all individuals are created equal, with certain inherent rights – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It’s a powerful statement that continues to shape our nation’s values and aspirations.
I encourage you to take a moment today to think about what freedom means to you and to appreciate the opportunities and blessings we enjoy as Americans.
To me freedom means being able to be a Christian and not be persecuted, I can write what I want, come and go and not worry about being coerced in to thinking different, or not allowed to have thought of my own.
